Chief Operating Officer at Apasen

Apasen are a £12 million a year turnover at home care and respite centre charity that operates across London and the wider south east.

 

They got in touch as they needed search support for a Chief Operating Officer role that has been created just before the pandemic but had gone unfilled and remained vacant.

Through a period of discovery, we met with the Chief Executive, members of the trustee board and the senior leadership team to ensure we created a picture of the ideal candidate, but also the organisations business need. We designed the recruitment process and pack as part of the service, produced the advert copy and worked with the Chief Executive to ensure the role had good visibility.

 

From the follow up discovery meeting to the appointment of a candidate, who had previously been a Deputy Chief Executive at a similar organisation operating in a similar location, the process took seven weeks. We met with the Chief Executive and the trustee board several times through the process, met with over 25 candidates, used LinkedIn, our network and CRM to reach out to over 200 qualified candidates, and ensured that we encourage candidates from hard-to-reach backgrounds to apply.
